Tax about to run out on a car I’m selling, can potential buyers test drive it if it’s SORN?

Tax runs out on the first but haven’t sorn it yet. In no rush to sell and it’s sat on my drive, off the road.

I live in a residential area with no ANPR’s about, would it be a bad idea to allow test drives?
